Candidate Interviewing and Onboarding:
We recommend a two-step process to hire; 1) phone interview and 2) in-person interview. During the on-site interview, we recommend spending half of the day interviewing the candidate and allowing the candidate to job shadow the other half of the day.
For onboarding and retention success, Melnic recommends a new hire orientation; assigning a mentor to the new NP and continual follow-up meetings to answer questions.
