We currently have a very exciting opportunity at this leading children’s hospital for a Clinical Nurse Specialist in the Division of Child Psychiatry. This children’s hospital prides itself on its commitment to improving the quality of life for every child and bringing the world the joy of healthy kids. They have attained Magnet status for nursing excellence in pediatrics and are ranked one of the top five children’s hospitals by Parent Magazine as well as in the top ten by U.S. News and World Report.

This facility is part of the Department of Pediatrics and offers assessment, diagnosis and treatment, both inpatient and outpatient, of behavioral, emotional and developmental disorders in children and adolescents. The person in this position will work with families and a multidisciplinary health team to provide advanced nursing care for this specialty patient population of infants, children and adolescents. Plans for patient care will be formulated, implemented, evaluated and/or modified as needed in collaboration with the child, family and a multidisciplinary team. Providing leadership in the department through education, consultation and research is a key role in this position.

Qualifications:
Master's Degree in Nursing and currently licensed to practice nursing in the State; advanced practice certificate of authority; minimum of 2 years pediatric nursing experience with an emphasis in psychiatric nursing.
