There is currently an opportunity for a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the Emergency Department of this leading children’s hospital. This is the only health care facility in the region specifically serving the needs of children. They believe the most important thing in the world is a child’s health and giving children the care they deserve.

The PNP or PA in the Emergency Department of this leading children’s hospital is responsible for the delivery of comprehensive quality patient care for infants, children and adolescents to include diagnostic and therapeutic interventions. They function as a member of the inpatient, emergency department or program physician team within an integrated academic model. This is an opportunity that can potentially lead to a clinical academic position. This is a Level I pediatric trauma center serving approximately 30,000 patients each year, staffed by physicians and nurses that are certified in emergency medicine. This position is full-time with varied shifts and hours.

Qualifications:
Two years of pediatric experience required; current State of Connecticut PA, PNP or APRN licensure required; current BLS/CPR in infant, child and adult preferred; PALS certification within six months of hire required; bilingual and bicultural in English and Spanish preferred.
