As the Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in Emergency, you will perform admission histories and physicals, create plans of care and collaborate with the attending physician to manage the entire ED course. You will use your pediatric nursing skills and experience to assess and interpret the data and information needed to identify each patient’s care requirements and provide that family-centered care for your patients. Additionally, you will also initiate referrals and follow-up on consults to other providers.

Qualifications:
MSN or graduate of an educational program for physician assistants or surgeon assistants accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Educational programs, or by that committee’s predecessor or successor entities, required; current RN license in the State of Texas, required; recognition as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (or eligible) by the Texas State Board of Nurse Examiners, or Physician Assistant (PA-C), licensed in the State of Texas, required; current CPR/BLS and PALS certifications, required; previous emergency department experience, preferred.
