Leadership Program for Advanced Practice Providers (APPs)

Graduate Health Systems/Administration Certificate Program – Practice Management for APPs

Join a growing cohort of Advanced Practice Provider (APP)leaders as part of a dynamic program at the University of Iowa! As part of the Graduate Health Systems/Administration Certificate Program, learn how to develop and grow your organizational skills in executive management, finance, and organizational effectiveness in order to be an influential APP leader.

The trend to optimize team care initiatives, which are currently trailblazing healthcare systems, requires APP leaders to have the knowledge and strategies to operationalize infrastructures across multiple environments of care.

The University of Iowa Health Systems Post Graduate Certificate for Advanced Practice leaders and future leaders of Advanced Practice Providers invites Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (APRNs), Physician Assistants (PAs), and any discipline or stakeholder invested in learning more about APP Leadership needs through a post-graduate certification program.

This post-graduate certificate program will provide comprehensive education on how to successfully integrate APPs into healthcare systems through leadership, strategic planning, and vision. The course content will include topics such as APP leadership models, credentialing and privileging, competency assessment, billing and reimbursement, and various metrics to demonstrate value.

At the University of Iowa, we offer a leading-edge curriculum for the APP Leadership Program designed to prepare the next generation of APRNs and PAs. APPs who participate in this post-doctorate certificate program will join the #2 nationally-ranked Nursing Administration and Health Systems program.
