National Nurse’s Week: You Give Us Three Reasons to Celebrate!
It’s National Nurses Week and we’re celebrating you! Along with the American Nurses Association and other leading organizations, we want to thank you for inspiring, innovating, and influencing us every day.
We hope you feel appreciated and had a chance to look at your role in a new way this week. Because this year’s theme is “Nurses: Inspire, Innovate, Influence,” we wanted to know what these words mean to you. Take a look at a few of the awesome responses we received on social media:
Innovate…Nurses are constantly faced with challenges and have to devise solutions to overcome those challenges to provide the best care possible. – Michelle Borzik Goreth
Influence is the word that resonates with me. We influence by teaching, advocating, and leading! – Meredith Lahl
I think influence. I’d like to think I influence my patients and I know they influence me. I have been a nurse for a very, very long time. I can think of some nurses who helped me so much in my early career days. – Maureen McLellan
I’ll add that all nurses are inspirational because you focus on patient care, work collaboratively in teams, and lead those around you to be better and give more. I love this quote on the American Nurses Association website:
…Nursing is the glue that holds a patient’s health care journey together. Across the entire patient experience, and wherever there is someone in need of care, nurses work tirelessly to identify and protect the needs of the individual. – American Nurses Association
Whether you realize it or not, every day you inspire a high quality of care for patients and their families. In your role, you see healthcare holistically. That’s why your dedication and commitment has a 360-degree impact, touching patients, colleagues, physicians, and hospital administrators.
At Melnic, we are so honored to serve you! We applaud your tremendous service to others and wish you a very happy Nurses Week.
