Every Advanced Practice Provider we meet is inspiring. But every now and then we meet someone who is truly unforgettable.
Olubusola Hall, a graduate student at the University of Mississippi School of Nursing (UMMC) is one of those people. We met Olubusola (who goes by Ola) in March at the NAPNAP National Conference in New Orleans. As soon as we heard her story, we knew Ola was an unsung hero. Her career goal as a PNP-AC is to change the world for children in her home country of Nigeria.
The University of Mississippi published an inspiring article that tells Ola’s story of overcoming challenges. She’s currently enrolled in the nurse practitioner program at UMMC and will graduate this month. In the article, Ola is quoted as saying:
“Other than being born and some immunizations here and there, many children in Nigeria never see the doctor… I’m a firm believer that when God blesses you with things, you give back. I don’t care where you are, you give back.”

Ola has purchased land in Nigeria and plans to open a clinic there. Her spirit is so uplifting. Our team is honored to help her find the right job to build her pediatric nursing skills and go after her dreams.
Congratulations to Olubusola Hall, the UMMC class of 2019, and all the incredible Advanced Practice students who are graduating this May!
